This will be sent (most likely in an email) as a follow-up to the Signiant Portal log-on outreach.

After receiving A/V Assets, we will also need:

  1. A short title for your video. Don’t include “360” as all videos on Littlstar are in 360 degrees, and avoid special characters, as those won’t show up on some headsets. Titles with over 36 characters will not appear in full, but will be shortened with an ellipsis. A good naming convention when titling a series of videos or a stand-alone piece of content from an already existing franchise is the title of the series, a “-” or a “|,” then the title of that installment in the series. A great example is Syfy’s “The Expanse | Battle on Mars”
  2. A summary of your video that is shorter than 400 characters. This is usually only a couple of sentences. Don’t include any HTML, since the description will display across all platforms, not just the web.
  3. A banner image for your video. It should follow the guidelines at the bottom of our submission guidelines here and using this design model here. We have created a PSD template to help get you started that can be found here.
  4. A decision on whether or not your video should be downloadable by Littlstar users in our VR apps for offline playback. This can improve the end user’s experience as a downloadable version of your video can exceed streaming bandwidth limitations when it comes to quality. Users on poor internet connections can also benefit from this feature.

Login to your account:

  1. Create a unique username. The best usernames are just the name of the brand which is releasing the content, as opposed to the product being released. For example, ABC’s channel is ABC VR, not “Dancing with the Stars VR” or “Nashville VR.”
  2. Create an “about” description for the account. OneRepublic used their about section to give a little history on the brand (found here), while Syfy used their about section to reinforce their brand identity with a very short description (found here).
  3. Create a custom avatar which is a minimum of 200 x 200 pixels and is either a JPEG or a PNG. This is usually an official brand logo or corporate identity.
  4. If you would like to explore enhancing your account by becoming a Branded Channel on Littlstar, you can read about the additional required assets here.
